Ilia Marinescu

Ilia Marinescu is a French mezzo-soprano specializing in baroque repertoire. She holds a master’s degree in baroque vocal performance from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK – Austria), where she studied with Roberta Invernizzi. Praised for her expressive voice and stylistic finesse, she performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician with ensembles such as BachWerkVokal Salzburg and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor, under the direction of conductors including René Jacobs and Theodor Guschlbauer. She has appeared as a soloist at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and across Austria, Germany and France. Deeply engaged in historically informed performance, she also explores the intersection of baroque and electronic music in collaboration with composer Clio Em.
